Auburn
So busy! Where did I leave off? I hadn't seen the house before we moved here - just a couple of pictures of the outside. It looks very humble on the outside, but inside it's very nice. Our landlord built the house, and invested in nice appliances, fans, stone floors, double-paned windows, ect. We're used to living in decades-old apartments and rent houses in Baton Rouge, so this is a big improvement.
As Katrin said, the cycling is great. The worst roads here are better than anything in Louisiana. They must have repaved all of Lee county just last week. One thing I can say after driving around Auburn for a week is that they don't skimp on the infrastructure, and it shows - in the roads, the campus, parks, landscaping, technology center... this is a nice little town.
We were a little less impressed with the trails we rode yesterday, but there are more to explore. The hills do make it more interesting, but we've been spoiled by our very well-designed little trail at Comite in Baton Rouge.
The Kid is enjoying living in the woods.
